Grab the family and head to historic Bryant Field for a night of collegiate summer baseball! The Yuba-Sutter Freebirds take on the Modesto Roadsters in what promises to be an exciting game under the lights. Tickets are affordable, the stands are friendly, and you will feel the small-town atmosphere that makes Yuba-Sutter special. A perfect midweek outing for a military family settling into the area.

Three chances to shop local this week! Companion Farms Certified Farmers Market runs Wednesday 4–7 PM and Sunday 12–4 PM at 1333 Butte House Road. Yuba City Downtown Farmers Market is Thursday 4–8 PM at 732 Plumas Street. And the ever-popular Yuba City Certified Farmers Market takes over Town Square (Plumas & 3rd) Saturday 8 AM–12 PM. Two fantastic options to close out the weekend! Catch the Yuba-Sutter Freebirds for Family Sunday at Bryant Field in Marysville, where kids activities and a welcoming ballpark atmosphere make for a perfect family afternoon. Later, music fans can head to the Toyota Amphitheatre in nearby Wheatland for a Toto concert with special guests Christopher Cross and The Romantics. Tickets and show times are available through the venue.

The 2026-2027 school year is just around the corner for Yuba City Unified and Marysville Joint Unified, with classes starting in mid-to-late August.
